A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…

The HX Rebel Alliance

The HX Rebel Alliance

It is a period of hassle-free. The Holiday Extras team,
striking from a hidden base, held their first Star Wars charity day.
During the day, Rebel spies managed to raise money
for Cancer Research UK and Pilgrim’s Hospice.
Pursued by the Empire’s sinister agents,
the team now race home in their cars,
custodians of the raised donations
that can restore freedom to the galaxy….

As part of Holiday Extras’ new resolution to give more back to charity – in the usual HX spirit, of course – the HX offices were taken over by the Galactic Empire today. Darth Vader set up in our CEO Matt Pack’s office, occasionally venturing forth to give tips on motivating the team.

Meanwhile, Rebel Agents under the leadership of  Hannah “Mowl Mothma”, set about raising funds for both Cancer Research UK and the Pilgrim’s Hospice palliative care fund; all under the Empire’s watchful eye.

Events included a fancy-dress competition, face-painting by Darth Bates, a Star Wars-themed quiz by resident expert Vic O’Reilly and a bake-sale of Star Wars-themed cakes.

The HX Rebel Alliance hope to raise over £200 for their chosen charities as part of an ongoing initiative. The HX team voted for Cancer Research UK and Pilgrim’s Hospice as the official HX charities as a way to give something back to our customers and help organisations that are making a positive change to people’s lives.
