As part of our ongoing efforts to review all of the hotels we sell, we recently made a trip to Manchester airport. Now, we’ve been to a lot of airports, but we’ve rarely found one as well connected as Manchester. From the dedicated train station to the raised, covered walkway, we had to make a point of highlighting the ease with which you can get around if you’re flying from the Manchester terminals.
For the pedestrians among you, the airport is about as easy to access as can be. There’s a dedicated train station right on site, easily reached from almost anywhere in the national rail network. From the train station, you can hop onto the airport’s Skyway, a covered, raised walkway that runs directly to Terminals 1 and 2. As to Terminal 3, it’s connected to Terminal 1, so you can get from the station right to all three terminals without even going outside. The Skyway has conveyor-belt walkways that will deliver you to your destination, making the walk even easier. It’s at night, however, that the Skyway really comes to life, as it lights up blue, making it visible from anywhere on the airport.
If you have too much luggage or don’t fancy the short walk (less than 15 minutes) from the station to Terminal 3, you only have to look out a window at the terminal to see hordes of taxis buzzing around the airport; and they don’t cost too much either. One thing’s for certain, you’re not going to struggle to get anywhere on site at the airport.
If that’s still not convenient enough for you, why not book a stay at the Radisson Blu? The entrance to this luxury hotel is actually contained within the Skyway itself, halfway between Terminal 2 and the train station. Not only is it incredibly easy to get to, but the hotel is a holiday all in itself. Whether you feel like taking a swim in the large pool, getting a workout in the full-size gym or just relaxing in the Phileas Fogg restaurant with its view of the runway through floor-to-ceiling windows and delicious signature steaks, this is a hotel you won’t want to miss. That’s not even mentioning the luxury, themed rooms…
If you’re driving to Manchester airport, there are plenty of parking options too, with the tried and trusted Jetparks car parks on site at the airport, or our customer favourite Airparks, who’ll meet you at the terminal and park your car for you. Whichever option you go for, holidayextras.com will make sure you get a great deal.
