Are you flying from Heathrow this summer, trying to escape the Olympic congestion in London Town? Well, avoiding the Olympic crush may not be as easy as you think, as you still might run into some delays at the airport.
As such, we decided to take you through some suggestions for turning your extended stay at the airport into a treat, not a chore. Take a look:
1. Book a hotel
With a hotel room booked, for the night or just a day, you’ll have not only a private space to unwind, but a personal TV and wifi to enjoy. You’ll also have a range of great restaurants and bars to prop up. Take a look at what the Heathrow airport hotels have to offer.
2. Family fun
Heathrow itself has a range of family entertainment, from play areas with storytellers and games, to Kids Eat Free offers at the airport restaurant. Take a look at Heathrow airport’s website for more information.
3. Airport lounges
We’ve spoken before about how much easier an airport lounge can make things. For an entry price that’s often less than a meal for two, you can get both unlimited free food and drink, and a quiet area to relax while you wait for your flight to be called. Take a look at the lounges at Heathrow.
4. Fine dining
Since you’re on holiday anyway, why scrimp on the food? There are some surprisingly upmarket restaurants right in the terminals at Heathrow. Take the opportunity to treat yourself to a slap-up meal! Have a look at the Heathrow airport website’s A to Z of terminal eateries.
5. Shopping-o-rama
It may seem obvious, but the duty free shopping at Heathrow is not to be missed. Things are a lot more upscale than they used to be too! You’ll find everything from Burberry to Jimmy Choo, right in the terminal. Have a browse through Heathrow airport website’s A to Z of shops.

Hmm it looks like your website ate my first comment (it
was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any recommendations for rookie blog writers? I’d really appreciate it.
